Vet Tech Declan with LizardDeclan’s passion for animals started as a little kid, trying to “save” the wildlife in his backyard and convincing his parents for a number of pets. He started his career in 2011 at a small practice near his hometown working in the kennels for 2 years. He took a short break to obtain his Bachelors of Science in Biology with a concentration in Wildlife from Framingham State University. He returned to their team as a technician in 2015.

Driven by a desire to learn more, he left In February 2019 to join a practice in Westborough, MA, working under our manager Allison for a short time and developing his skills in surgery. Declan joined LAH as a technician in September 2019, drawn in by his interest in wildlife and exotics. Declan can be found assisting in surgery or helping treat our many patients. You can also catch him cuddling with a reptile or two!

Outside of work Declan enjoys painting and exploring the outdoors. He spends most of his time with his girlfriend and their little family; Archie (a basset/bulldog mix), Potato (a senior cat), and Freddie Mercury (a Bearded Dragon).
